MAZUU

Brazilian roots but now hailing in Canada, Mazuu brings a mixture of dark melodies with hard-hitting bass, clever lyrics, and a hint of psychedelic undertones through her sets, taking you on a storytelling journey.

Introduced to the electronic music scene through Psytrance back in Brazil, another chapter began in 2017 when Mazuu found out about House and Techno at an after-hours club in Vancouver. Since then, she couldn't stop chasing the underground, which has led her to a musical ride that she was not expecting.

Her journey started as a promoter in the city, getting to know the community and gaining an understanding of how things work behind the scenes. This included helping with hospitality and setting up events, constantly immersed whether that was by greeting you at the door or pouring her heart out on the dance floor. Not until the end of 2019 did she decide to jump behind the decks and express herself through music. Shortly after, Mazuu moved to Twitch where an extraordinary community was born, making many connections across the world as well as doing stream collaborations with well-known labels in the Techno scene such as Octopus recordings. For about 3 years now, she has been using Twitch as a tool to keep growing as a DJ and a way to stay connected with her community.

Her energy, music library, and stage presence on live streams got her discovered by local collectives, allowing Mazuu to showcase her style more across Canada and establish a name for herself in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. She has played at well-known after-hours clubs such as Stereo, Gorg-O-Mish, and The Comfort Zone.

In addition, she has shared the stage with 999999999, Lee Ann Roberts, Kobosil, Frazi.er, and UMEK, to name a few.
